ROSE QUARTZ

ROSE QUARTZ is a member of the quartz family, a silicon dioxide mineral. It is named for its rosy pink colour, is also called Pink Quartz or Hyaline Quartz from the Greek word ‘hyalos’ which means ‘glass’.
HISTORY: Revered as a heart stone by many cultures including the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Tibetans and Chinese. It has been used since 600BC as a love token due to its aphrodisiac properties and its ability to promote unconditional love.
HEALING: Rose Quartz is the stone of universal love. It restores trust and harmony in relationships, encouraging unconditional love. It also opens the heart at all levels to promote love, self-love, friendship, deep inner healing and feelings of peace. Calming and reassuring, it helps to comfort in times of grief. Rose Quartz strengthens and balances the physical heart and circulatory system, and releases impurities from body fluids. It is believed to have the power to increase fertility and to protect both mother and unborn foetus from miscarriage.
