With our current speed of life, we in the occidental world have lost the art of valuing the clothing and jewellery we wear. We used to treasure our textiles and jewels, care for and mend them, pass them on from generation to generation. Shopping for new jewellery in particular was an occasional event. Something done with thought, care, and love.

Many of these old craftsman arts are not entirely lost. Some cultures from around the world have managed to preserve the age-old art of creating handmade high-quality silver made pieces of jewellery. Inspired by these cultures, MILLA-JO has built her jewellery brand. It is a brand born from the desire to reclaim the old ways where they are more aligned with the respect of the planet and its people

MILLA-JO IS A SLOW FASHION LABEL

MILLA-JO seeks to create trans-seasonal and timeless pieces using high quality silver and gemstones sourced from her travels all over the world. With her European cultural ancestry, and experience of busy metropolitan cities, she settled close to nature in an Australian coastal town. It's here where she truly embodied the slow fashion philosophy. Her jewellery pieces are a reflection of this.
